Amy Wickliffe brings over a decade of
political, government and lobbying experience to McCarthy Strategic Solutions.
She has been lobbying the Kentucky General Assembly since 2005, has previously served as a top aide in
political campaigns and the Fletcher administration
and was appointed Finance Director for the Republican Party of Kentucky in
2016. Every elected Republican in the Commonwealth, both federal
and state, knows Wickliffe because of her tremendous tenacity for fundraising
and ability to keep organizations focused. It is because of these
relationships that she is able to navigate the legislative process from beginning
to end to help clients achieve their goals.
Her
career in politics includes fundraising for Fletcher
for Congress 2002, Fletcher for Governor
2003, Executive Director for Governor Fletcher’s
Inaugural Committee and statewide finance
director for Governor Ernie Fletcher’s
re-election campaign in 2007.
Following Governor Fletcher’s election
in 2003, Wickliffe began work for the Commonwealth of Kentucky as Chief of
Staff to the First Lady. As Chief of Staff, she served as a personal aide
to First Lady Glenna Fletcher coordinating travel, scheduling, public relations
and legislative activity for the office. She also oversaw the operations of the
Special Projects Office which coordinated all Kentucky Derby festivities hosted
on the Capitol campus and many other events hosted at The Governor’s
Mansion. Wickliffe also worked closely with Mrs. Fletcher to establish the
Governor’s Mansion Preservation Foundation in 2005.
Wickliffe graduated from Transylvania
University with a B.A. in Psychology and holds a Masters in Business
Administration from Midway University. She has served as Chair of Dress for Success Lexington, a
non-profit dedicated to improving the lives of disadvantaged women, and serves
on the Midway University Ambassadors Board. She lives in
Lexington.
