Lora Hawkins provides support and working closely with our team as an Administrative Assistant.
She brings with her 28 years of Kentucky state government experience which includes the Shelby County Commonwealth’s Attorney’s office, Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, Kentucky Attorney General’s Office, Kentucky Labor Cabinet, Council on Postsecondary Education, and the Kentucky General Assembly.
During her 18 years with the Kentucky General Assembly, Lora worked closely with various legislators and legislative staff. During this time, she worked as a staff member within the Education Committee. She then joined the Speaker Pro Tem’s office as a Legislative Aide. In her capacity as a Legislative Aide, she provided support on a variety of legislative issues and projects which included constituent services; proxy to the Kentucky Workforce Investment Board; redistricting in both 2002 and 2013; and serving as the primary staff to assist House Leadership with the assignment of legislative members to the various House committees. Lora also assisted legislative members with the state transportation budget, constituent services, and the legislative process.
In early 2015, Lora joined the Office of the Majority Whip as Director of Legislator and Constituent Services. During her time within the Office of the Majority Whip, she was responsible for special legislative projects, constituent services and training office staff.
Lora has three grown children and currently resides in Shelby County with her husband, Tim.
